Can't run flash player with Windows Vista Home Premium. Adobe download site says its installed, is is not. I have tried. Is this yet anothet quirk with X64? And have you tried using the Firefox browser and using their Flash installer?

Everything worked fine, no changes were made. I got a prompt to update Flashplayer to v14 and followed it. When it didn't work, I followed the troubleshoot info on Adobe and uninstalled Flash. I made sure that ActiveX filer was off in IE. Well, that didn't work either and now had no flash at all.

I tried again using other download links suggested by Adobe. So I used Firefox on a whim, and sure enough it downloaded v14 perfectly.
