If problem still persist come back and tell me. I'm running win7 64bit, tried compatibility modes for both 98 and xp. Problem persists.

It is also worth mentioning that I've had difficulty launching the game with my gamepad already plugged in (a simple USB 360 controller). Even with the compatability fix, it often crashes to desktop unless I plug my controller in *after* the game has successfully loaded. Which may or may not work for me at that point. The game is buggy, but hardly unplayable once started, and so far has been more an issue of getting everything going at the start than keeping it going. For the curious, I run my gamepad through the port in my Razer Black Widow keyboard, so it's possible that could be a similar issue to the USB headsets mentioned elsewhere. I also use a Tiamat headset, but that's analog, and does not appear to be a factor at this point.
