Need to Interview an Engineer? TI-36X Pro is honestly the most powerful handheld that i have ever needed, Senior level Math and Engineering classes included. Has a good feature set, is battery powered, multiline display(so nice), does some advanced functions, and its $20 Anything more complicated you use a PC.
The 30X,36X series are the best you can use on the FE anyway. The only advanced feature i ever use on my TI 89 is the matrix solver for Linear Algebra and to make large problems a bit faster back when i was in Circuits 2. The 36X-Pro does this now • • • •. No but I have never had a prof make a test whose length was catered to everyone having a graphing calculator. I've had plenty tests that were too long in general though lol.
I learned how to do it by hand back then and would check with the TI89 if i had time left. Before the 36 i used the TI89 for Physics too because the E (*10 n) button was so conveniently placed for all the physical constants. Still used my computer for homework though because I had written a script that mapped them all to convenient variable names. Its kinda revolting that the 84 family still costs so damn much. I'd have to say I'm pretty satisfied with my HP 50g. Winning eleven download. It at times can feel a little unintuitive, I must admit.
